I became a psychiatrist because I believe that the right guide — someone who truly listens and knows how to help — can change everything. My practice is built around that belief.

During my training at the University of Chicago, I had the opportunity to observe psychiatry practiced at its best — care that was unhurried, deeply attentive, and genuinely transformative. Watching patients thrive when they felt truly heard and understood left a lasting impression on me.
That experience shaped everything about how I practice. I saw what was possible when a psychiatrist slows down, listens carefully, and treats the whole person rather than a checklist of symptoms. I built my practice around that model.
What frustrates me about how psychiatry is often practiced is the fragmentation — rushed appointments, therapy and medication siloed into separate providers, patients who feel reduced to a diagnosis rather than understood as a person. I wanted to build something different: a practice that brings the best of both worlds together in one place, with care that is genuinely personalized and appointments that are genuinely unhurried.
I believe that mental health doesn't exist in isolation from the rest of your life — and my own life reflects that. Outside of my practice, I'm deeply committed to physical wellness. I've found that movement, sleep, and how we treat our bodies have a profound impact on how we feel mentally, and that conviction shapes how I approach care with every patient.
When we work together, I'll often ask about your physical health, your sleep, your energy — not because I'm checking boxes, but because I genuinely believe these things are interconnected. Healing rarely comes from medication alone.
"I want every patient to leave feeling not just heard, but genuinely optimistic about what's possible."
I have a deep appreciation for the small moments that tend to get crowded out by busy schedules — a good walk, a quiet morning, time with people who matter. I think that awareness carries into my practice. The best appointments often happen when we slow down enough to notice what's actually going on.
